Graco Nautilus 3-in-1 Car Seat DESCRIPTION

Once your child outgrows her rear-facing infant car seat, she’s still required ride in a car seat or a booster for several more years to come. So rather than investing in a succession of seats and boosters, try the Graco Nautilus 3-in 1 Toddler Car Seat, the only forward-facing car seat your child will need. Its five-point harness accommodates children up to 65 pounds, and its convertible booster/backless booster can hold children up to 100 pounds in weight–longer than most other convertible car seats.

Versatile, Convertible Design Lasts through Early Childhood
The Nautilus features an extended five-point harness design that can accommodate children over the age of one, from 20 to 65 pounds in weight–a wider range than most other forward-facing car seats. As your child grows, the seat easily converts to a high-back booster and then, lastly, to a backless booster for a child up to 100 pounds in weight. A steel-reinforced frame and superior construction help to ensure safety and durability through years of use.

Built for Comfort and Superior Safety
You can rest assured that your child will have superior protection while riding in the Nautilus, thanks to extensive crash testing and a steel-reinforced structure. The car seat meets or exceeds US Safety Standards, including U.S. Compliance Standard FMVSS 213; the New Car Assessment Program (NCAP), with peak Crash Force approximately twice the Car Seat Standard; and tests for Extreme Car Interior Temperatures. EPS energy-absorbing foam provides additional security and comfort. As well as being secure and safe, your child will feel extra-comfy, too, with an easily adjustable head support, cushioned seat, and wide armrests; a cup holder and side storage keeps snacks and treasures close at hand.

graco car seatGreat Seat!, December 3, 2009
By  Christine (Rochester, NY USA)

We have been using this Graco Nautilus 3-in-1 Car Seat with the 5 point harness for a few weeks and so far, everything seems great. At first, I didn’t think there were enough shoulder harness slots. Once I raised the head rest, I saw 4 sets of slots. Our tall 2.5 year old son is on the third set from the top and I think he should be able to be harnessed for a while. The straps are not prone to twisting like our Graco convertible seat did and the latches are easier to work with, yet still not easy for our son to undo himself. There is extra storage space in the inside of the arms that the kids can easily access to store small toys, etc. The seat is somewhat bulky, however, as the kid grows, the seat needs to grow so that’s to be expected. I plan to order another one for our second car soon!

graco car seatSAVED a life again., December 2, 2009
By  Mendell R. Holley “military dad” (Pacfic NW)

This is or should I say was our second Nautilus. Today we were rear ended as we sat at a red light. Teenager trying to text, hit us at 45 mph. Car totaled, mom with major back and neck pain, dad writing this review with broken wrist and both daughters running around wondering why daddy can’t just fix the car! This Graco Nautilus 3-in-1 Car Seat might be heavy as some reviewers have said. It might be a little more spendy as well. When it comes to the safety of daddy’s little girls, I am on here getting two more for them right now. We will all survive with bumps and bruises, but my daughters were 100% restrained, seats still look great, but are being replaced due to the crash. Hope it helps in your search for a great seat! They absolutely love the cubby bins and drink holder.

graco car seatLast carseat you’ll have to buy!, December 2, 2009
By  J. Chandler (USA)

We love this Graco Nautilus 3-in-1 Car Seat and have bought 2 of them now for our sons. We love them because they’re easy to use and they will last them until they no longer have to use a carseat. They have the 5 point harness system then it turns to a high back booster and finally the regular booster seat. It’s durable. The only thing is it’s a little heavy but that is a minor detail
